Rachel joined OMP in August 2024. She holds a master’s degree in Neuroscience from Nottingham University and completed her master's year at Harvard Medical School. During her time at Harvard, she co-authored a number of scientific papers, including her first lead-author publication on astrocyte-to-neuron conversion and reprogramming. Rachel then studied an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from Cambridge University, a program focused on the commercialisation of scientific research. She has interned at biotechnology start-ups in both the UK and U.S., gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of the companies and developing a well-rounded understanding of the industry. Recently, Rachel and her co-founders at Nimo Biotech won the Cambridge University start-up pitch competition with their innovative saliva-based glucose monitor. Rachel is also an avid sportswoman and was a member of the Cambridge University triathlon team.
